Grocery Saving

Ok so we all know food prices have risen and risen dramatically. I find that I have reduced the amount of times I am going out to eat and as well it has reduced the amount of times I get pickup from the local pizza/sub shop. But sadly you will find no relief at the Grocery Store. The USDA had predicted that your grocery bill will go up 6.6% this year, but I think the reality is that is that it has already gone higher than that!

More than ever it seems we must be prudent with our grocery spend, ensuring what we buy = what we eat, as nothing is worse than throwing food out that has gone bad!

Now there are ways to save with ease and if you reading this please consider this a friendly Stash Stability reminder. Here is an example of how I saved $4.35 (via cash back) which equaled 4.5% of my total bill on a recent grocery trip by applying ibotta coupon offers against my paper receipt. All I had to do was click the items I purchased and upload the receipt to prove it. Now in addition to the 4.5% I automatically get 2% cash back on my Fidelity Visa card. So 6.5% back in total. Hey it is not the 6.6% the USDA quoted but pretty darn close if you ask me!
