UPDATE: The Dosh app has shut down as of 2/28/2025

Dosh is a cashback app that allows users to earn cash back on their everyday purchases at select merchants. The app works by enabling you to simply link credit or debit cards to your Dosh account, and from there you automatically earning cash back when a purchase is made at a participating merchant. The cash back can then be transferred directly your bank account or PayPal account.

One of the standout features of Dosh is its simplicity. The app is incredibly easy to use, and users don’t have to jump through any hoops to earn cash back. You simply make purchases at participating merchants with their linked card, and the cash back is automatically applied to your account. Additionally, Dosh offers a wide variety of participating merchants, including popular retailers, restaurants, and travel brands.

However, it’s important to note that Dosh’s cash back rates may not always be the highest available. While the app does offer competitive rates at many participating merchants, users should compare rates with other cashback apps and credit cards to ensure they’re getting the best deal.

Note: I only use Dosh for in-store and restaurant cash back and stick to Rakuten for eCommerce cash back (which has the best rates typically). To date I have received $50 in cash back via the Dosh app. I should add that while I use Rakuten for travel savings you may want to consider Dosh for travel cash back as well, as their travel savings are strong.

Overall, Dosh is a solid cashback app that is user-friendly and offers a wide selection of participating merchants. If you’re looking to earn cash back on your everyday purchases with minimal effort, Dosh is definitely worth considering.
