Ibotta is a mobile app that allows users to earn cashback on their everyday purchases. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices and is free to download and use. Ibotta partners with hundreds of retailers, including grocery stores, pharmacies, and online retailers, to offer cashback on purchases made through the app.
One of the main advantages of Ibotta is the ease with which users can earn cashback. To start earning, users simply browse the available offers in the app and select the ones they want to redeem. After making a qualifying purchase, users can scan their receipt within the app to receive cashback. The app also allows users to link their loyalty card from participating retailers to earn cashback automatically as well.
Another benefit of Ibotta is the variety of offers available. Users can earn cashback on a wide range of products, including groceries, beauty products, and household items. The app also offers special bonuses for completing certain tasks or redeeming a certain number of offers.
To date I have earned $140 in cash back from ibotta. As I write this you can save $1 on Pringles which would make a can $.50 or so at my favorite grocery store, Market Basket. Other examples are $4 back on Allegra, $1 back on Poland Spring Water, $.30 back Kraft Mac & Cheese. Bonus: You can save $1-$10 on various beer/wine/liquor offers to at any store that sells alcohol too.
However, there are some drawbacks to Ibotta. The app requires users to accumulate a minimum balance of $20 before they can cash out their earnings, which can be a barrier for some users. Additionally, some users have reported that the app can be buggy or slow to load, particularly when trying to redeem offers.
Overall, Ibotta is a solid choice for users looking to earn cashback on their everyday purchases. While there are some minor issues with the app, the variety of offers available and the ease of use make it a worthwhile option for anyone looking to save money.
